Ibo Gold Player gives every device two codes: a MAC address (six pairs of letters and numbers, like 4F:A2:91:0C:7B:E3) and a 6-digit device key. Together they let you manage that device from this website: add playlists, check its activation and protect it with a PIN.
Where they are
- Open Ibo Gold Player: while the device is not activated, they are on the first screen after the terms of use.
- At any time, open Account from the menu on the left of the home screen: you see both codes and a QR code. Settings → Account shows the codes too.
- Select Share my device codes to send them in a message (on TVs that cannot share, the codes are copied).
Scan instead of typing
The QR code in the app opens your device page on your phone with both codes already filled in. It is the fastest way to sign in on Manage playlist or Activate.
Do the codes change?
They stay the same when you update the app, and on Android they normally stay the same even if you uninstall and install it again. This is why your activation follows your device. Keep a private copy of your codes, and contact us if they ever change.
Tip · Keep your MAC address, device key and QR code private, like a password, and protect each playlist with a PIN on this website.
